Cosmic Kids
Ron Poznansky and Daniel Terndrup met in a high school classroom specially designed for kids who have trouble paying attention to boring stuff. They immediately joined forces in the pursuit of adventure, hiking through the Santa Monica Mountains to collect top secret data on benevolent wildlife, mycological oddities and abandoned earth stations. They soon parlayed their overactive minds into making music, drawing inspiration from post punk, house, funk and the vast cosmos. Their remix roll-call includes Holy Ghost!, The Rapture, Local Natives, Poolside, and Classixx. "Reginald's Groove," their first single, was released on Throne of Blood in 2011, and received praise from Resident Advisor and XLR8R, and radio play on KCRW, WXPN, and BBC Radio 1. In 2012, Cosmic Kids released "Freight to My Soul" and "Never Going Back" which soared to Hype Machine's #1 spot. Their third release is due out on Let's Play House in March 2013, featuring 3 new originals and a collaboration with Tyler Blake of Classixx.
